12/31/2011 - Santa Clara, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The San Francisco 49ers promoted wide receiver Joe Hastings to the active roster on Saturday.
The 49ers needed to add a wide receiver after getting rid of Braylon Edwards on Tuesday.
Hastings joins Michael Crabtree and Brett Swain as the only healthy receivers on the team for Sunday's regular-season finale against the St. Louis Rams.
Fellow wide receivers Ted Ginn Jr. (ankle) and Kyle Williams (head) are both listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Originally signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on July 27, 2011, Hastings was released following training camp and was signed to San Francisco's practice squad on September 4.
The 49ers (12-3) can secure the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs with a victory.
